Discover what drives you

Self-awareness is essential to success. If you don’t understand why you’re currently doing what you’re doing, or behaving why you are, it’s hard to cultivate positive growth. On your journey toward discovering what drives you, it’s important to identify what’s holding you back from success, as well as your positive traits, and learn how to align the different aspects of your personality for a life of achievement by taking the DISC index.

Other than for business purposes, the Personality Style DISC Profile can be use for other areas such as education, counseling, faith-based application, and personal development. Below are common examples of application.

With DISC personality style you will learn:

  • Individual strengths and potential limitations for each personality style
  • How to communicate effectively and how your communication style may affect or influence others around you
  • An action plan for enhancing interpersonal relationships
  • Environmental preferences

What is DISC?

The DISC Personality System was created by Dr. William Marston at Harvard in the 1920’s. It focuses on one’s personality style, behavioral characteristics, and predictable behaviors. Every person has a combination of these four main DISC personality styles:

  • Dominance – Direct, Decisive, Driven
  • Influence – Outgoing, Persuasive, Impulsive
  • Steadiness – Stable, Thoughtful, Reliable
  • Compliance – Conscientious, Organized, Systematic

DISC is a tool that helps improve interaction and performance whether at the workplace, in your relationship, education and other areas of your life. DISC can be use in every area of your life.

By understanding your personality style, you can better understand these characteristics about yourself:

  • Communication Style & How to Better Relate to Other Styles
  • How You Handle Conflict and Stress
  • Your Innate Fears & How These Affect Your Actions
  • Your Natural Strengths & Potential Limitations

A person’s DISC profile does not limit what he/she can accomplish or how successful he/she can be. It simply predicts how he/she tends and prefers to do things.

We can find successful people and leaders in all of the 4 DISC types. However, the most successful people know who they are. They are aware of their strengths, but they are also aware of the areas they need to develop. They modify their style fittingly with different styles of people and in different situations.

It is important for you to understand that none of the styles are better or worse, they are just our preference. They all have strengths and areas that need to be developed. The strengths and development areas are just different.

Be More Effective: It’s obvious, you are here because you want to grow. Imagine if you could be more confident than you are adapting your communication style and actions to the needs of your customers, co-workers, boss and subordinates. You would close more sales, retain your clients, communicate more effectively, and be more successful.

Self-Awareness: Know your own personal traits and how you can learn to adapt to get along with the people, and how to get best results from those you work with. Not only that, but you will know your strengths and weaknesses.

Better Conversation: Acts as a springboard for conversation and team building. You will be able to understand those you work with and your clients/customers. The assessment helps you to understand people who aren’t like you…. or are too much like you

Reduces conflict and avoids misunderstandings

Helps you to grow your business: DISC has applications for every part of business, from management to sales, to service and beyond. Communicate more effectively, plan their management approach, strategise sales and negotiation.

Recruit New Team Members More Effectively: Finding the right person for the job can be critical to success. Understanding drive, motivation, ambition and other personality traits is more important than CVs and personal judgement alone. A DISC profile gives that crucial understanding and much more (for example, it can even suggest behavioural interview questions).

Instant Results: Once a DISC test has been completed, its built-in expert system will instantly compile an exhaustive and clear report. Our DISC reports are written in plain English (and are also available in many other languages) covering a huge range of topics and subject matter.
